PhD Grind: I’m so Extra??

Random but important !!

Don’t ever let people make you feel bad for spending time on your notes/making your notes look more etc. Our even something you’re doing in your current endeavors. So many times I’ve had people say ‘that’s a waste of time’ or ‘you’re so extra’ and it just like….. Wtf.

If spending an extra 2-5 minutes to make your notes look a little organize is going to help you learn them better, or even if it just makes studying tolerable then that’s okay??? Keep doing it!!

There’s honestly no worse people than the people who will try and make you feel bad about doing something you want to do.

Success Takes Sacrifices.

you can’t live the life you have & the life you want at the same time. You have to choose one. You have to change your habits completely.

Decide who it is you want to be, life is going to demand something entirely different for each decision.

Alot of people want to be successful but aren’t willing to give up the good for the great. They don’t want to live average lives, but maintain average habits. They want to work 40 hours a week, but not 80 to live their dreams.

Chasing your dreams isn’t a part time hustle. It’s more like 2 full time jobs. Living a few years, how others won’t- to spend the rest of your life how others dream.

Don’t let people fool you with their words and intentions. Don’t guide yourself by the habits of those who aren’t where you want to be. The road to success is a lonely one. We all have different obstacles to over come, and you need as little distractions in your life as possible.

Jinx Rambles About Dreams And Being A Product of Your Environment.

First of all, I apologize for my absence. Last year I hardly blogged any, I would say I was just busy with life. But truth isI do a lot of my blogging at night, and I like to be in bed by nine because I have to get up and work at 5 o’clock in the morning. I will just not have the energy to sit in front of a laptop and type away, let alone trying to gather my thoughts to write something effective.but I’m going to do is use the speech to text thing and hopefully be able to give me my thoughts without rambling too much.

What I want to talk today is about dreams. I fortunately can say I’ve reached my dream being 28 yrs old on this Earth. Everybody does it, but some people gave up dreaming. Saying dreams are exactly that, dreams. Somewhere along their journey, life dealt them a bad card. In which, halt them or maybe even stop them in their tracks. It sucks talking to these people. I’m the kinda person that want to see everyone achieve what they want because this world is harsh, but yet can be so beautiful and we only guaranteed one shot at this called life.

Majority of those people say they’re a product of their environment, and that’s why they won’t ever reach their dreams. For example, being a African American I can understand how our youth can get wrapped in what’s mainstream. Trying to reach a lifestyle only the %1 get a chance to enjoy, and they get all caught up with gang banging and drug dealing and before they know they’re 18 and get locked up. Let’s fast forward 10 years later. This kid is now 28 and he took his gf on a romantic city air tour. The man finally get a taste of something he wants to do, but wait he can’t because let’s be honest no one is going to hire a pilot with a record. Now I’m not saying that he didn’t deserve the charges. The law is the law. I just hate how people dreams are tarnish before they can even get a chance to realize what their dreams are and work towards them. With all of that being said I do believe there’s a lot of truth behind that quote.

I grew up in a small town of Lacombe, Louisiana. My environment was a country upbringing. I was a bayou boy. I’ll spend all my extra time fishing, hunting, exploring the woods if I wasn’t at school or at football practice. I mentor young kids from the inner city, and at times of course it’s hard for me to relate. I just do my best and always try too tell these kids it’s so important to go out of their environment and see something new. Spend money that they have on adventures, and different stuff that interest them.
What do you dream about? And how that’s going for you? Also, do you believe in that you’re a product of your environment?

This is a crappie post. Lol. But I need to start posting regularly again.

WE GO FORWARD

This is the truth. As a parents, you want to prepare your children for life and the obstacles that they will have to overcome. We want our kids to succeed, where we ourselves might have failed. Because no matter how much we would love to be there for them forever, we know that one day that won’t be the case.

You had me at “Sex Mountain”

Participants from all walks of life: housewives, government officials to prostitutes all indulge in a mass ritual of adultery pleasure. It’s an ancient tradition that’s takes place in a small portion of the world’s largest Muslim majority country, Indonesia. Ladies and gentlemen. I present to you, Sex Mountain!

Thousands of Indonesian pilgrims travel across the archipelago to Gunung Kemukus take part of religious sexual rituals on top of a mountain. This ritual is said to date back to the 16th century. The reason for this ritual is thay by having sex out of wedlock at the holy site will bring them good luck and fortune.

But wait, there’s a catch! In order for this ritual to work the sex partner for the ritual should not be a spouse. Also, the pilgrims must copulate on the mountain every 35 days, seven consecutive times. Majority of the pilgrims consist of poor farmers and workers who is looking to more success.

As you could imangine, according to sexual health doctors diseases run rampart as many men do not wear condoms.

(About to steal your girl. I look sexy af in my lab coat)

I don’t do these types of blogs as much as I should be. Definitely, the way you guys been there for me on this crazy ride. Just want to tell you guys thank you! Thanks for all the love and support. There’s a lot of you guys that been following ever since I was on YouTube. That was 7yrs ago! Then moved with me when I transitioned to twitch. This spring, I left twitch because I graduated and got a full time job to support me, my crossfit goals and social life leaves little to no time for games. Now I’m back just to blogging and I’m still getting love from the same people 7yrs ago with additional new faces!

Turning the chapter on being a content creator for youtube or live streaming from twitch was bitter sweet. You guys and I knew that there was a bigger goal I was reaching. I wanted to see what my life would look like if I didn’t count the cost and willing to go further than what anybody willing do to from my community. You guys helped me do that. Being from country ass Lacombe, Louisiana it wasn’t cool to be smart and be heavily into any science. During exchanging emails, videos while I was a youtuber you guys in stilled the attitude of  “fuck them, I have to do what makes me happy.” Once I start doing that I started to blow up. Not just in my academics, but as a content creator, streamer, friend, and as a lover. You guys gave me that kick start to follow my passions and not to harm but don’t take no shit either.

Almost a year ago, I was having a quater of a century life crises. Didn’t help that I lost my best friend Brandon this year to a hit and run. As always, you guys came in as extra support and dragged me out of my mess. This year as I make 26 in December has the total opposite feel to it. I’m not stressed thinking about what I’m going to do with my life, holding on to hatred or fighting people to stay in my life. It’s a eerie calmness that I haven’t felt since 5+ years. My life feels complete. I feel whole.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Hopefully, when I help find a cure for cancer I can put you all in my memoir when im old and grey. To tell my story that you can find strength to accomplish great things from people you never personally met. As always I’m here you too. You can email me at Jinxedsanctuary@gmail.com or follow me on Twitter @AnoleCreole i follow everyone back so you can DM me privately. I’m always catching myself answering emails or DMs at 2am in the morning. I truly enjoy it. Love you guys.
